Parrot Toys

Parrots are one of the most enjoyed household pets. It should come as no surprise, then, that companies like Petco and other smaller independent sales areas like in a strip mall for parrot toys. Since parrots are so intelligent, they can use a variety of things for toys. Parrot toys are sometimes as simple as paper rings sometimes referred to as birdie bagels. The bird will simply nibble on these pieces until they are devoured. The bagels come in a variety of shapes and sizes, with most of the variation on the widths and length of the bagels in sizes from three to five inches in diameter. These make great additions to the pet cage and prevent your bird from getting board.

Another simple one of many parrot toys is plastic chains and plastic balls with slight holes. Since the bird is a forager, it enjoys digging into the ball or chain and attempting to rip it apart. The strength of the bird’s neck and beak are also exercised in this process, making it a worthwhile endeavor for any bird. One of the items that parrot will truly enjoy is pieces of coconut shell that have had holes drilled into them. The birds enjoy the natural feel, texture, and flavor of the hard shell and chew it laboriously.
